Terms of Service

These are the terms for booking a flight with Magpie Aerial, a drone photography service operated by a single pilot in Calgary, Alberta.

Booking & payment

Package prices are quoted on the site or confirmed by message before the flight. Payment is due on delivery of the final files unless otherwise agreed in writing. Custom or commercial jobs outside the listed packages are quoted individually.

Weather & rescheduling

Flights depend on safe weather and wind conditions. If conditions aren't safe on the booked day, the flight is rescheduled at no extra cost — there's no fee for a weather delay on either side.

Property access

You confirm you have the right to authorize a drone flight over the property or event booked. Flights stay within visual line of sight and avoid people, pets, and moving vehicles where possible.

Image usage & ownership

Delivered photos and video are licensed to you for the purpose you booked them for — a listing, an event, your business marketing. I retain the right to use the same images in my own portfolio and on this site, unless you ask in advance for a private-only shoot.

Cancellations

Cancel or reschedule more than 24 hours ahead at no charge. Late cancellations (under 24 hours, excluding weather) may be billed a small portion of the package to cover the reserved time.

What's not included

Packages are photos and video only unless stated otherwise. Roof and inspection packages are visual photos, not a certified structural or thermal report. Mapping add-ons are basic orthomosaic references, not survey-grade or RTK-accurate data.

Liability

Every flight is planned around safe conditions and Transport Canada's rules for the aircraft flown. Liability for any claim related to a shoot is limited to the amount paid for that booking.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time; the current version is always the one posted here.
